Greetings from Karuizawa –

It’s spring break with only about 40 students staying here for the vacation, so things are nice and calm after a very busy Spring Project Week. The weather is cooperating too — today is sunny and warm, by Karuizawa standards! For the past two days, 35 students participated in a six hour, FREE SAT preparation course provided by AGOS Japan. Project HEAR in Tokyo getting ready to conduct interviews with the public about their perceptions of Chinese and Koreans in Japan.

Project Nepal had a lunch meeting with Peace Winds Japan. They are also met with Human Rights Watch.

Our hiking club had a successful outing to Hoshino Onsen.

The G-10 Hospitality group interviewed Prince Hotel CEO, Mr. Kiyohisa Tokunaga during Project Week.

Project B-Right held a 3 day English camp for local Japanese children during project week.

35 Students took an SAT preparation course.

The G-10 Arts & Culture team conducted an interview at a local radio station as part of Project Week.

G-10 students interviewed foreign visitors to find out how to make Karuizawa a better place for tourists as part of Project Week.

Coming up:
1. The last quarter of the year startson Monday! I can’t believe it!
2. Progress Reports will be sent out around April 18th.
