The UWC Movement
Motivated by a shared desire to make education a force to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future, our school joined the UWC Movement in 2017. Discover more about the UWC, its locations and strategy, and how to apply to a UWC school.
Our Campus
Our campus is located in the Japanese mountain resort town of Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture—only a short 60-minute bullet train ride from Tokyo Station. Karuizawa offers scores of opportunities to experience the scenery, solitude, and local charm that make it an ideal place for a UWC School.
Our campus buildings have been designed by renowned architects to marry the clean lines of traditional Japanese architecture with modern efficiency and technology. We are currently expanding and will be opening a Multi-purpose Center (Fall 2019), followed by a Creative Center and Health and Wellness Center.
