Just last Friday, professionals from world-renowned consulting firm McKinsey & Company were on campus to conduct a workshop for our G11 students! As part of their CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) project, which is an integral component of the IB curriculum, students are required to undertake a 2-year project. As all of these projects are student initiated and student-led (with some guidance from their faculty advisors), it was a unique opportunity for our students to hear from industry professionals and learn more about how to set realistic goals and come up with concrete plans for their projects!
Yutaro (G11, Japan), shares his thoughts on the session with us:
“The McKinsey workshop was an eye-opening experience for me as it allowed not only myself but also my team-mates to thoroughly think about our plan for the next 2 years. It was a good opportunity to sit, revise and moderate all the fanatical ideas we had come up with in the past and figure out what ideas are actually suitable for our group. The workshop made me more excited than ever before about our forestry project!”
A huge thank you to the wonderful professionals from McKinsey & Company who came and spent their Friday afternoon with our students!
