Greetings! We’re well into fall, with wild temperature swings from day to day. Earlier in the week it was sunny and hot (yes, actually HOT – and some teachers held classes outside), and then it was sunny and cool, and then we received some rain. It’s a beautiful time of year!
Last Sunday, many of our students volunteered and ran in the “Sky Race!” This was a 10 km race around the top of a mountain — very challenging! You can see pictures from the race as well as other events from this week by clicking through the photo slider below.

Big smiles at the Sky Race as students tackled the 10 km course up a mountain!
ISAK Student Volunteers turned out to support the runners at the Sky Race.
An unusual reward at the finish line – each participant received a green cabbage.
We had a fire drill a few days ago; our evacuation point is the sports field. It was a beautiful day so we took a school photo afterwards!
Studying together.
Mr. Lacoste’s mathematics class moved outdoors.
Mr. Melero’s mathematics class had the same idea!
Karuizawa Fureai Festival — this was a big festival at the town hall. Our students volunteered in a number of different ways, including dressing up as characters!
