Greetings from Karuizawa!
My apologies for the lateness of this newsletter — I was in the US last week attending a conference for independent schools and am just getting caught up.
The weather here has gradually gotten warmer and warmer. The evenings are still cold and March is typically a very unpredictable month, so it’s definitely possible to get some snow. But the high temperatures are getting higher, the daylight is getting longer and other small signs of spring are apparent. I can’t believe it’s already March!

During the February break, a number of our G-11 students were able to participate in an overnight medical internship that gave them hands-on experience in many facets of medical care. You can read more about their experiences here. I’ll be sharing more news, including updates about how some of our other students spent their February break, in a few days.
