We have closed applications for the United States-Japan Foundation scholarship for Summer School 2014 as of April 30, 2014. Thank you very much for submitting your application on time for this year’s program.

For the third consecutive year, the United States-Japan Foundation (USJF) has generously offered to provide full scholarships to four US students interested in attending ISAK Summer School 2014 in Karuizawa, Japan.

ISAK Summer School brings together motivated junior high students from around the world for thirteen days of academics, leadership training and outdoor education. The program is held in the beautiful mountain resort area of Karuizawa, and aims to develop young leaders who are eager to work for positive change in their own regions.

The scholarships cover the full tuition fee of JPY 380,000 (appx. USD 3,800) (*airfare to and from Japan will not be covered by the scholarship, but ISAK will consider assistance for some students based on their circumstances).
