As ISAK begins its second year, we are happy to announce that admissions representatives from numerous universities around the world are visiting our campus in the coming months. To gear up for the visits, our university counselor, Mr. Paul Sweet, conducted an orientation for Grade 10 students, helping them understand why university admissions representatives from places like the U.S. and U.K. are visiting ISAK and what to expect. Since our students come from 29 different home countries, each with it’s own university system, we feel it is important for all students to understand how they can benefit from these visits.
When university representatives visit ISAK, they spend time with Mr. Sweet learning about The ISAK Education, our innovative leadership program, and everything our school has to offer. They also have an opportunity to discover what makes ISAK unique by observing our students participating both in the classroom and in daily life.
Additionally, each university representative holds an information session open to all students. While these events are optional, turnout from both Grade 10 and Grade 11 students has been high. We are hopeful that many students will take advantage of the chance to speak directly with university representatives as they begin to explore a variety of options for post-secondary education.
After visiting ISAK and meeting with our students last week, a representative from The University of Sydney commented, “The University of Sydney is proud to be regarded as a world leader in research and education, with a goal to graduate the next generation of leaders. Our recent visit to ISAK to meet staff and students was very exciting, as our values align very closely in this regard. The ISAK curriculum and ethos prepares students for a successful and rewarding university experience by nurturing inquisitive, resourceful young adults who are confident to take the lead. We very much look forward to maintaining a close relationship with ISAK and welcome students to apply to our university.”
