On June 19, Lin Kobayashi was announced the winner of the “Nikkei Special Prize” at a ceremony for the “New Business Plan Competition for Women,” sponsored by the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ).
The competition was designed to help support innovative businesses founded by women that exhibit high growth potential and will foster change in society or the economy. This year, 643 women applied for the award. Lin was one of the ten finalists selected by the DBJ.
Lin and the rest of the staff are thrilled that ISAK, an educational project, is being recognized for its potential to contribute to Japan’s economy in the future, even in a competition against hundreds of commercial businesses.
