10th Anniversary Campaign

ISAK Granted Official School Status

On October 31, Governor Abe of Nagano Prefecture granted official school status to ISAK, the final step in a rigorous new school approval process. Scheduled to open in August 2014, ISAK will be Japan’s first fully-residential international high school, and we are also aiming to become the first high school in Japan that requires all students to complete the world-recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

ISAK’s mission is to bring together exceptional students from around the world, developing young leaders who have the vision, enthusiasm and drive to create positive change in the world. The admissions season for ISAK’s inaugural class of students begins November 8.

Imagine… if there was an ISAK lower school!

Dear Friends of UWC ISAK,

UWC ISAK is celebrating its 10th anniversary! We are proud of where we’ve come from, and we are excited about the next decade.

At this important milestone, we are wondering – in pursuit of broadening our impact, could an ISAK Lower School be considered as one of the options and would it be feasible? A school that embraces ISAK values and vision for a better future?
