Our Open Campus events give prospective students and families the chance to spend time on campus in Karuizawa. You will explore the facilities, meet current students, have lunch in the cafeteria, and take part in a Q&A session with our Admissions team and faculty. Each event runs approximately 2.5 hours and is free of charge.
Places fill quickly. If an event is fully booked, please join the Open Campus waiting list.
Our student-led tours are a shorter, more informal way to see the campus. Running approximately 45 minutes, they are led by ISAK Ambassadors — students who play an active role in welcoming prospective families and sharing their experience of life at UWC ISAK Japan. Tours are free of charge and run at regular intervals during the school year.
If none of the scheduled dates work for you, contact [email protected] to discuss alternative options, though availability is limited.
Please note, as a general rule, we are unable to offer tours outside of these dates during term time given the availability of our admissions team and student tour guides. We are also unable to accommodate individual visits between approximately 15 December and 15 January each year due to admissions staff availability. Therefore, we highly recommend planning your visit around our available on-campus events, which we have increased in response to strong demand. For general campus visits not connected to admissions, see our Plan Your Visit page.

Our Admissions team travels across Japan and the Asian region each year to meet prospective students and families in person. These sessions are often joined by current students, alumni, faculty, and parents, and offer a chance to hear directly from the people who make up the UWC ISAK Japan community.
We participate in selected education expos and events in Japan and internationally throughout the year. Details are updated here as events are confirmed.

Current applicants can book a 15-minute individual conversation with a member of our Admissions team in English or Japanese. These sessions are for students who have already started their application and have specific or personal questions they would prefer to discuss privately. Registration details for 1-on-1 meetings are shared directly with applicants by the Admissions team.
Throughout the year we host events that connect us with the local community and wider public. These are not part of the admissions process, but they are a good way to experience the school in a more informal setting.
Our admissions assistant Sabi-chan can help answer common questions about eligibility, the application process, and events. For anything more specific, the Admissions team is always happy to help directly.
