UWC ISAK Japan
At UWC ISAK Japan, experienced university advisors work alongside every student to understand their strengths, goals, and circumstances and help them find the right path forward.
Advisors are based on campus full-time, building genuine relationships with students from Grade 10 through graduation.
Each semester, admissions representatives from universities around the world visit campus to meet students directly, and we arrange access to college fairs in Tokyo and beyond.

The Advising Journey

Advising begins in Grade 10 and continues through graduation. In Grade 11, students attend on-campus university presentations, begin building their school list, and plan their standardized testing. In Grade 12, students finalize applications and meet regularly with their advisor through each deadline cycle.

UWC ISAK Japan is a registered SAT testing center. Students can sit exams without leaving campus, with tests administered throughout the year.

Gap Years and Entrepreneurship

Each year, students choose to take a gap year, launch a business, or pursue a once-in-a-lifetime experience before university. Recent graduates have completed Global Citizen Year internships, sailed with Semester at Sea, participated in Baret Scholars, and founded their own ventures.

For University Admissions Representatives

We welcome visits from admissions officers throughout the year. Our Karuizawa campus is 70 minutes from Tokyo by Shinkansen.

To arrange a visit, book through Cialfo or email us at [email protected].
