Hitting the Slopes in Karuizawa!

Nagano, host to the 1998 Winter Olympics, is known for its various snow sport attractions, including challenging skiing. Karuizawa itself is home to a number of smaller ski areas and this year the ISAK community has started taking advantage of this winter season amenity with organized trips to the slopes. We have been able to organize very affordable ski lessons for anyone at ISAK until the end of March at Karuizawa Prince Resort. The nearby resort has 5 or 6 slopes, a snow shoe trail, and an onsen. Last week was the first session, and students, faculty and staff enjoying the snowy slopes together.

Here are a few pictures from the last week’s outing!
