All students applying for the 2016-2017 academic year must submit scores from either a general standardized test or an English language test. While we do not have a minimum score requirement for any of these tests, our review of your application materials must confirm your readiness for the rigorous ISAK academic program.
Please note that your choice of standardized test will not affect your chances for admission. We recommend that you select the test that best demonstrates your current capabilities.
NOTE: The deadline for submitting all test scores is January 13, 2016.
If English is your primary language or you have attained a fairly high level of English proficiency, we strongly suggest either of the following tests:
The ISEE and SSAT are standardized tests that cover both math and English language skills. These tests are widely used by some of the best schools in the world. When registering for the ISEE or SSAT, please use the following ISAK school codes:
ISEE SCHOOL CODE: 570514
SSAT SCHOOL CODE: 4119
If English is not your primary language and you are not as confident in your English capabilities, the following tests will help to confirm the level of your English language proficiency and your readiness for the rigor of the ISAK academic program.
If you are registering for the ISEE, SSAT or TOEFL, please use the ISAK School Codes listed above to have your scores sent directly to ISAK.
To report scores for all other exams, or to submit a standardized test alternative, please scan and submit by email to email@example.com. Please schedule your test in order to meet the deadline. In general, test scores are available approximately two weeks after the test date. For further information about testing, please email the office of admission.
If you are unable to submit scores from a standardized test because none of these tests is available to you, please submit an additional letter of recommendation from a core subject (such as math, English, history or science), or submit an additional essay.
If you choose to submit an additional letter of recommendation, please have the writer complete the ISAK Letter of Recommendation form (available on the How to Apply page) and submit it directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you choose to submit an additional essay, please answer one of the following prompts in approximately 400-600 words. Your essay must be written in English. Please email your completed essay to email@example.com. The subject line for your email should be “Optional essay: (Your full name).”
Prompt 1: Consider any topic impacting today’s world. Briefly describe the topic and show how your understanding of it developed and the possible solutions.
Prompt 2: Describe a situation where your thoughts or feelings changed on a topic over time. Why did this happen?
